Oracle允许在同一个oracle platform下安装dataguard，要求尽量的同样的操作系统版本。
oracle platform可以用以下的语句查看（9i的v$database没有PLATFORM_ID和PLATFORM_NAME字段）：SQL> select platform_id, platform_name from v$database;

         10 Linux IA （32-bit）oracle dataguard也支持不同oracle platform的组合，见下面的列表。不在列表的组合不支持组建DG：

通过上表我们看到，在oracle 11g上已经支持platform_id=10即Linux x86和platform_id=7即Microsoft Windows （x86）这样大平台跨越的DG。jdbc向Oracle数据库插入系统时间重建Control File实现Oracle冷备份迁移到不同实例相关资讯      Oracle教程
